Self hosted - question from client on telemetry

Hi Allan.

Just a quick question I had from a client, and was not sure about the degree of telemetry on the self hosted version.

I mentioned that probably it is basic stuff, like clicks and pages visited. Can you confirm if that’s about it or there is more to that?
I’m not sure even about the above, I just guessed since when you build it from source, it expects a posthog api key, which I assume is baked in the self hosted version.

Can you clarify a bit on that?

That is an excellent and good question. Most is explained here https://openiap.io/telemetry.

What is not mentioned on that page is posthog. We added that ONLY for https://app.openiap.io a few months before launching the new UI. In the new UI, we added the option to enable posthog, but it is disabled by default. ( we still have it enabled for https://app.openiap.io )
