Has OpenFlow Changed to OpenCore?

When I opened the OpenIAP Documentation today for checking something, I noticed that the term “OpenFlow” has been replaced with “OpenCore.” At first, I was confused because I couldn’t find any mention of “OpenFlow” in the document, but later I realized it had been renamed.

However, it is still referred to as “OpenFlow” in this forum category. Could I please know the reason behind this change?

OpenFlow, an open-source standard for Software-Defined Networking. This makes it hard to “Google” help and answers.
So for a long time, we tried finding a different name. No good names came up that were not already taken, so I slowly tried transitioning into OpenIAP Flow. But if you try saying that out loud, you will learn that it is not a good name either.
Someone suggested OpenCore, and that is not widely used by any other project, so we decided to try and go for that.

Thank you, Allan, for clarifying the reason behind renaming OpenFlow to OpenCore. Choosing a name that avoids confusion makes perfect sense.
