I was exploring serverless functions in OpenIAP which is hosted on VM. when try to click on build and deploy button I am getting an error asper screenshot can you help me to fix the error
Our serverless solution is not publicly available. If you want to test it, you can send an email to Simon and we can enable it for your user in our cloud. Alternatively, if you have an enterprise license, we can assist you in running it on-premise.

Okay will send email to simon ?quick question is it going to be available publicly in future? or it will be only available on paid license. I was just exploring it to understand I can use it in different ways
As far as i know it will be a paid feature for the foreseeable future.

Sorry for the late reply. Things happened. As @Morphyum said, yes, right now serverless is going to require a license. I’ve pushed hard on Simon for us to make it open source, but he is not convinced yet.
I disagree with making the serverless feature open source. You need to generate revenue to grow your business. The free version of OpenIAP already offers substantial value, providing more than enough automation capabilities to get started. In fact, it goes well beyond just a starter pack. Making this feature open source would simply invite free riders yet again.
And the feature is fantastic! Such things shouldn’t be free. It’s like having a premium product, but not asking premium price, which make people think that this is actually a given feature and not something valuable.
While open source is valuable for feedback and testing, there comes a point where you must differentiate between building a viable product and giving stuff away for free. Just enable serverless for your paying customers if you want feedback, let them have free runs as long as it is in preview and not GA
