# item.Value in selector appends text

Hey.

I found very weird that in a specific field for the automation I’m working when I try to use item.Value only adds text at the start of the screen instead of replacing the text with whatever variable I am working on.

I say this is weird because I do this a lot of times in the automation and it replaces it just fine.

in this case “PLACEHOLDER” is the text that comes in the field, and “STRING VARIABLE” is what I’m trying to pass.
